The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jakarta is seeking a chef for the Ambassador’s residence starting on 15 January 2026 (full-time position, one-year contract with the option of extension)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work in all fields of the kitchen: Gardemanger, Entremetier, Saucier, Patissier
• Prepare and coordinate official dinners and receptions in the ambassador’s residence, especially preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffets, finger food
• Prepare local Indonesian dishes as well as Western dishes
• Create menu suggestions
• Assist in grocery shopping, research, organization and cleaning work
• Manage the stocks in the kitchen and food supplies
  

Requirements profile:

• Completed vocational training or several years of relevant professional experience in a renowned cuisine
• Command of English language
• Service orientation and organizational skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Highly motivated and hard-working
• Loyalty and confidentiality
• Willingness to work overtime and occasionally on weekends
