The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jakarta
is seeking an employee in the press section with expected effect of 01 November 2025 (full-time position, one-year contract with the option of extension)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing the Embassy’s social media channels, including publishing content, community management, and collaboration management
• Producing visual content for the Embassy’s social media presence (using tools such as Canva, Capcut) and creating video publications
• Coordinating with external vendors for the Embassy’s press and cultural activities
• Supporting the preparation and implementation of media appointments, press conferences, interviews, background discussions and other public diplomacy activities
• Supporting and accompanying delegations and visitor groups during programmes in Indonesia
• Managing the inventory of Embassy public diplomacy materials as well as image and content repositories
• Support with analysing media reporting and public opinion, including preparing press overviews

Requirements for the position are:

• Completed vocational training or relevant work experience
• Strong creativity and visual storytelling abilities, with experience producing engaging visual content
• Proficiency and familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X), including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement
• Proficiency with photo and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, or similar)
• Experience in coordinating with vendors and partners in a professional setting
• German language skills at B2 level or higher
• English language skills at B1 or higher
• Confident handling of common office applications (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Skype)

• Copy of valid ID (KTP) or copy of work and stay permit for Indonesia
• Indonesian police certificate of good conduct
